Public Service Announcement (110 Points)
Identify a key social determinant of health in the Kingdom as well as a related public health concern. Next, prepare a public service announcement (PSA) in the form of a two-page brochure to educate the public on this concern. Remember to address the following:
• An explanation of the social determinant including a definition;
• How the determinant is related to a public health disease with current statistics;
• What you want the public to do with the information-suggest behaviors you want to change.
• How your agency can address the concern, including measures and surveillance;
• Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – with specific items; and
• Whom to contact for additional details (e.g., WHO, Ministry of Health), including an address and phone number.

The focus of the ILE is to utilize skills and knowledge attained in the MPH program.  There are multiple tracks for the student to choose to match their academic and professional interests. The student will work with their PUBH 601 faculty member to complete each high-quality written product synthesizing at least three (3) competencies, with at least one foundational and one concentration specific competency chosen to demonstrate synthesis of key skills developed throughout the program. 
CEPH Competency Connection:
The ILE allows each student to demonstrate attainment of at least three competencies, of which at least onemust be a foundational and one must be a concentration competency. The competencies need not be identical from student to student, but the ILE must be structured to ensure that all students complete a well written work product of their choice. The ILE may also address additional foundational or concentration-specific competencies, if appropriate.

An Integrative Learning Experience (ILE) may be accomplished in different ways. Students must coordinate their ILE with the PUBH 601 faculty member to ensure that the written product meets program requirements.
The ILE should match the educational and professional goals of each student. This culminating experience can be accomplished in many high-quality written product projects. The list below is not all-inclusive and is intended to allow the student to see possible projects.

Risk assessment and report on a biological agent impacting public health
Workforce assessment, evaluation, and programming or advocacy

Students will start working on their ILE in Module 1 of this course. 
Submit your final ILE report by the due date. 
Remember to make all necessary updates and final changes to the draft ILE submitted in the Module 3 Discussion. 
Remember that there is no exact page or word minimum for each written product because the focus is on how well the student completes each product and synthesizes the selected competencies. To do this, many projects are between 20 and 60 pages in length, but again the emphasis is on the quality of the work, not the number of pages.

The terms: health care and public health are often used interchangeably. Two such widely used terms are public health and health promotion.

Surveys are often used to gather public health information or data. The first step in analyzing the survey data is to conduct descriiptive statistics. Descriiptive statistics help provide basic information about the sample group, such as the average age and average income. This information can then be analyzed to effectively measure and describe a population’s health status, behavior, and associated risk factors in relation to these variables.
The purpose of this assignment is to use Excel to apply descriiptive statistics in order to describe the sample who completed a health behavior survey.
